I just came back from a conference where they had a panel talk about what percentage of your marketing budget should go to Internet/digital space, and while they couldn't come up with a rule of thumb, the consensus was that it should be between 20%-35% of your budget. How that that compare with what the presidential hopefuls are doing? I can't wait for your next installment on this topic. I hope Hillary does better!

Interesting analysis Jake. We've just taken a look at the use of paid search in the campaign and were surprised to see that less than 1/2 of the candidates are running ads. Surprising given the number of voters using search to get information on the candidates.

PLEASE, my fellow Americans, quit being dooped by whomever is all over the media coverage...most of their platforms are weak!
RON PAUL is the ONLY candidate who doesn't waver or waffle, doesn't accept donations from special interest groups, and has the right idea for this country...less government, stronger economics, LESS GOVERNMENT. The constitution needs to be read again by all Americans...we've strayed from actual liberty and freedom, and it's costing us dearly.

Great overview of the topic Jake! Apparently the Presidential Campaigners are far behind in SEM/O. The Cybersquatters have already prepared for the 2008 campaign and beyond with 1000's of Domain name combinations of possible candidates. It looks like the Giuliani "tech team" have been short-sighted in their domain name choices.
I have to agree with you Jake!

Raka Obama you do not know what you are doing and I bet no one is going to vote for you. I would not loose your temper in the next debate today in louisianna but if you do they will surley not going to vote.
